[Sooo Hayate's been here for about a month now. And you know what he has done? Nothing. No making breakfast for people early in the morning, lunch in the afternoon, dinner in the evening, or even random cakes that look like they were made by Cake Boss at 2 AM. No cleaning, no sneaking talking tigers around Japan and getting hit by cars... Nope. Nothing. And as such, he feels like a lazyass right now.

Sure, he has helped people here and there with cooking (especially his neighbors whose closet door he completely mutilated), and yeah, relaxing is great, but... if he's going to possibly end up being here for months, or even years? He wants to do something more productive! ..And naturally, this productivity doesn't exactly end up benefiting him in any way whatsoever but. Oh well. So after some thought as to how he should go about this, he goes ahead and makes a video entry.]

Hello, people of Luceti! My name is Hayate Ayasaki. [..How should he approach this again..] ..Ah, back at home, I happen to be a butler. Milady isn't here though, so I figured I may as well find something to do with my time since I'm not quite sure what else to do here...

So! I wanted to offer being anyone's butler, or... something like that, anyway. Since I wouldn't be living with the person or anything, ahaha... [He laughs a bit nervously.] But I could at least help people out with housework such as cleaning or cooking. Would anyone happen to be interested? It wouldn't be limited to one person, either.. I wouldn't mind helping multiple people with that. Or with anything else, for that matter. So if someone doesn't need me to do housework, I could at least help with things like moving furniture and stuff... or whatever else, really! I'll do my best with whatever it is.

[And then a long pause, as he thinks of whether or not he has anything else to say... nope.] Ah, I guess that's about it, so... just let me know!

[And then off the feed goes...! Later on, Hayate can be found around the item shop, looking for things like nails and screws. It's about time he fixed that door of Aoba and Mikado's...! And then he'll be heading on back to C7.]

[...er..] A-ah... Well, after certain events occurred, I had to leave that person's mansion and return to my parents. I was only six at the time, after all.

You were working before you were six?

I was actually working while I was six. The exact timing of it is a little complicated though, since the mansion I was in had time working in a similar manner as it does here in Luceti.

Wow... that does sound complicated. But even now that you don't need to work, you still want to? I mean, not that I'm complaining, just curious.

Mm, of course. It gives me something to do, and I know a number of people here actually do need assistance like that, so I'm more than happy to offer it. I've been working my whole life, either as a butler or while working to make up for my parents' drinking and gambling, so I've gotten very accustomed to it, I guess.. [he laughs, though a bit nervously. He knows it's kinda weird.]

Wow. And you're okay with that? Well... what I mean is you don't really have to worry that you'll fall out of practice or anything. So are you really okay with that?

Yes, I am. I actually do enjoy it, so... Besides! If Milady happens to come here one day, I have to make sure that I haven't slacked off so I can take care of her.

Heh... you're a nicer guy than anyone I've ever met anyway.

I've been a Governess a few times, but it's not something I'd bother doing here just to keep in practice. Not without someone really exceptional to make it worth it I suppose.

[Though he doesn't really make a response to the first part, he is happy to hear it.]

Right. You've probably met one or two in your line of work, no?

[Technically her being a governess was also 2/3rds bodyguard & espionage or warfare specialization mixed in with tutoring, but whatever, technicalities. It's not something that is easy to explain.]

Y-yes, I have! The maid who works with me at home could be considered one to Milady, I guess.

[...Maybe not so much with tutoring and education though. Nagi didn't need any help with that at all.]

Must be a very classy place you work.

A-ah.. I guess so! Milady comes from a rich family, after all. And her mother and father are no longer around, so the maid, Maria-san, is basically the one who had been taking care of her up until I came. [And even then, Maria still did care for Nagi. Just... with the help of Hayate!]

Oh! That must have been difficult on them both.

What kind of things was ah, your employer -- [for lack of a better name] -- being trained in?

Mm, I guess so. That happened long before I started working there though, so I don't really know the details. [Just as far as Nagi and Maria have told him, really.]

Well, Milady is only thirteen years old, so she was just learning for school, really. Though she normally spent time skipping school and her studies to play video games and read and draw manga...

So she was becoming an otaku?

[He laughs.] Basically, yes. She wants to grow up and become a famous mangaka, after all. She has even been attending many anime conventions with her friends and trying to sell her stories.

She's going to be a manga-ka?

[Her tone of voice says it all. Then again thanks to Monkeypunch's weird style (4th wall break) Fujiko's exposure to such people is well... Monkeypunch. It says a lot.]

Well, she would like to be! But her stories are, ah... unique. So she's working on it...

Ahaha, I suppose so... Though hers truly don't make any sense at all, and are extremely hard to follow. More so than how manga should ever be...
