[...Maybe...] You haven't drank any sort of Drink Me Potion, have you?!

[He bristles a little at the continued height comments.]

Drink Me Potion? I don't go around drinking weird things!

Really..? [..Well, Leon doesn't sound like someone who would do that. But then..]

If that's the case, then how else would you explain your loss in height?! Unless you happened to be wearing stilts or heels when we last met...

Yeah. It's not like we see each other often, either. [He has to point that out, as if rationalizing himself further.] Was that all?

[He's pretty blunt this time around.]

...Oh, wait. There was one more thing. Because Leon's ears are under that hat, and Hayate's pretty sure that he has never seen him wearing a hat while walking around. uh.] Oh, um... Also! What about your ears?

[He reels back a little at that particular question. Did he know?]

[Nodding!] Yes, your ears! Those cat ears that I thought were a part of a cosplay before. Why are you wearing a hat over them?

[I mean, he's never done it before, and doesn't everyone already know he has cat ears... no need to hide it, man.]

C-- cosplay... [His eye twitches at the thought of that, and his expression sours noticeably.] I don't know how you know about that, but just leave them alone. I don't like showing them off.

[Just... squinting... When did this all begin?]

Eh? When I met you, I saw them, Leon-san... And I've never seen you having them not exposed.

[Leon shifts uncomfortably under that squinting gaze, and he unconsciously takes a step back.]

You don't know me, s-- so... So just stop it!

[Oh, that's definitely strange. And a reaction Hayate wasn't exactly expecting, either. It's almost worrisome, but...]

...E-eh? L-Leon-san...?

I was just-- Ugh, I can't do this anymore. [He takes another step back, then whirls around to stomp away.] I'll go shopping later!
