[After doing his normal every day chores like cooking and cleaning over in House 40, Hayate realizes just how hard Yuri has been working on this volleyball tournament thing she's been planning! Between the planning itself, recruiting, and all the posters and flyer she and Hayate had to make just a couple days ago, it's quite a bit of work, yep. And you know what comes after the tournament? Her birthday. Which... Hayate is positive most people don't know about, since lol Yuri telling people it. So before heading on out to pass out flyers and all, he throws a voice entry up in his journal.]

Hello, Luceti!-- [...pause.] A-ah, I should probably filter this, shouldn't I... [..Yeah gonna go ahead and do that! Not really much of a strong filter, but oh well. Hopefully that'll do?!] Hm... There we go! Okay! So ah.. How should I put this... For any of you who happen to be friends with Yurippe-san, her birthday happens to be coming up! It's on the 30th of this month. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have mentioned it to many people, but seeing as how she works very hard here, I figured her friends should know about it, ahaha..

Yurippe-san mentioned putting together a volleyball tournament a few weeks ago, so I urge any and all of you to join that! It'll be a lot of fun. If you have any questions on that, you could ask her! Or I suppose you could ask me as well and I could just relay the question to her, aha... It's like I've become a messenger boy... But ah, I'll be handing out flyers Yurippe-san and I made later on, so if you're interested, they'll be around in the plaza!

[Perona is actually just waking up when Hayate arrives for his usual butler service (cleaning, cooking, and just plain good company) that she hired him for because what is waking up early. She's singing from her room, brushing her long hair, applying her make up, and swinging her hips to and fro with the beat of the song - a popular and very familar song among all pirate folk on the Grand Line.]

[When he walks in, he calls out to her, only to stop suddenly when he hears her singing. Oh huh! That's an interesting song. He tentatively knocks on her room's door once she's finished, not wanting to interrupt and. well. not wanting to walk in on her and potentially end up in an awkward situation cough--]

[Stopping her song once she hears the knocking, Perona blinks and turns her head toward her door. Who could--oh! Hayate! That's right, he was coming over today, wasn't he? Smiling, she goes back to her makeup, applying her eyeliner to her other eye. Thankfully, she's fully dressed, only without her shawl.]

Come in, Hayate-kun!

[Good, good! At least then he's not walking into an awkward situation yay. With her okay, Hayate opens up the door, peering inside before finally just walking on in.]

[Finishing her eye makeup, Perona applies her lipstick and gloss, and then goes to retrieve her shawl.]

Mm! It's famous on the waters of the Grand Line, especially to pirate-folk like me! I usually sing songs that are a little darker, but this suddenly popped into my head, horohorohoro! [Probably because she misses the sea so much.]

[He'll give her a short clap when she's finished...!]

Ohh, I see! It's certainly pretty catchy, so I could see why it suddenly popped into your head.

[Pff, don't do that, she may start singing again. But Perona smiles wide, giggles, and dips into a little bow. She really did pick a good person to be her butler indeed. Perona's even growing to think Hayate's kind of cute in his own little way. When she does bow, though, Perona spies the poster and blinks, pointing to it when she straightens up.]

What's that?

[Hayate would not mind this...! But he returns the smile with one of his own. Noticing her spotting the flyers in his hands, he glances down at them and holds the stack up.]

These? Oh, ah.. these are flyers for an upcoming volleyball tournament Yurippe-san's putting together.

Volleyball? [Perona extends her hand to see the flyer for herself. She definitely feels like she's heard of the sport before, and the person holding the event, too. They've spoken once, and the name was peculiar enough for Perona to commit to memory. Once she does get her hands on the flyer, and reads it over carefully, the girl's eyes light up and she smiles a large smile.]

Oh, I know this sport! I've seen it many times before!

[Hayate nods enthusiastically, continuing to hold up the stack of flyers until Perona takes one off the pile. His smile widens upon seeing her own do the same.]

Ahh, really? Have you ever played it yourself, Perona-sama?
